In the “living room” we installed curved bamboo fencing to create privacy and block the wind. Evergreens provided structure while various grasses and hardy perennials added movement and color.
     Finally, an area off the bedroom was dubbed “wine and moonlight” because it seemed the perfect spot to end the day. We planted a variety of fragrant white plants, including “Henry Hudson” beach roses, which seem to glow at twilight.   Additional container gardens and more evergreens screened the space for an intimate feel.
